Lecture Agenda & Dates
A very clear guideline for the program will be given out upon acceptance into the program. Detailed in the apprentice notebook will be a monthly guideline of time commitments, a more detailed outline of all lectures, teaching clinics, and trainee meetings, as well as important information of how to create your apprentice journal and organize your learning experience.

Weekends are Saturday 2:00 - 6:30pm and Sunday 9:30am - 4:30pm. There will be a 1/2 hour break on Saturday and an hour break on Sunday.
We will also add an additional 8 hours of lecture time as needed to complete all material.
Weekend 1: The Fundamentals
- Introductions
- Exploration of Pilates Fundamental Concepts
- Understanding and working with spatial orientation vocabulary
- Learning Introductory and Level 1 Pilates material
- Practice looking at bodies in motion and begin teaching
Weekend 2: A Layer Deeper
- Learn history of Joseph Pilates and the Method
- Explore specific anatomy of the spine and abdominals
- Review Level 1 material
- Learn Level 2 material
- Involving additional equipment - using all your tools
Weekend 3: Opening the Floodgates Intermediate Level Understanding
- Anatomy of the pelvis, hip joint and pelvic floor
- Layering in Level 3 material
- How to teach a concise first session
- Understand leveling - how to utilize the full method to progress clients
Weekend 4: Adding to the Toolbox Deepening Pilates understanding with your client
- Level 3 material continues
- Anatomy of the shoulder girdle and arm
- Low chair intensive
- Discussion and exploration of fundamentals of breath and energy
Weekend 5: Empowering the Client
- Level 4 material
- Anatomy of the leg, knee & ankle
- How to approach the differences of teaching a mat class, or an equipment class
- Discussion of the Pilates Method-when to step outside and why
- Discussion of common complaints/injuries and modifications including pre- and postnatal clients
Weekend 6: Fyling into Level 5
- Level 5 material
- Tools and ideas to evolve your teaching and your clients
- Deeper discussion of fundamental concepts-the goals of Pilates
- Summation of all workshops
